Week 14 was all about music acoustics, quite a necessary topic for one who aimes to make vessels meant to produce amazing sounds. We had a visiting mastermind open the doors to this magical realm. With his guidance we got introduced to many of the subjects within the realm but it will most likely take a lifetime and more to master it all.
At the end of the week we went all hands or should I say ears on arranging a blind listening test. A round of acoustic and electric guitars were tested. It was a great experience and now we have the tools to investigate our own guitars once we have the bunch of them complete.

After such information overload I decided to rest my brain by handsawing(attempting to) 45 degree angles. A lesson in humility it came out to be...

The rest of the evenings that week I concentrated again on the bubinga guitar and succeeded to finalise the bottom and top bracings.

Week 15 started with glueing on the top for the bubinga guitar so now the pair is almost at the same stage to proceed.

On wednesday we took a day trip to Kangasala and Tampere in search of wood, socialisation and last but not least munkki! We got quite the catch of wood, met a bunch of great people, saw one super guitar shop and a great luthier shop. And yes of course there was coffee and munkki.
Such a motivational, fun and insightful day!

More out of impulse than plan I got some beautiful blaze alder perfect for ukulele sides and bottoms.

Finished the week with the bottom strip, ready now for side bindings and hopefully to start working on the necks next week.
